1. We need to clarify that fiber laser cutting machines fall under the category of metal cutting machines, so they are generally only suitable for metal processing and cannot process non-metal materials such as stone, glass, and other materials.
The reason is that the wavelength range of fiber laser cutting machines does not belong to the absorption range of these materials, or is not suitable for absorption, and cannot reach the ideal range.
2. Fiber laser cutting machines cannot cut density boards. Fiber laser cutting machines belong to thermal processing, and cutting density boards can cause combustion, leading to burnt edges that do not meet cutting requirements. This type of material mainly includes fiberboard, wood fiber, and plant fiber raw materials, as well as some artificial boards made from urea-formaldehyde resin, adhesives, and other materials. These materials fall under the category of density boards and cannot currently be processed with fiber laser cutting machines.
3. Additionally, some highly reflective materials, such as metals like copper, can be cut using fiber laser cutting machines, but since these materials exceed the ideal absorption range of the laser wavelength, they reflect energy consumption, which requires protective glasses. This is also something to be aware of.
